Body Lotion Formulation Workbook | Intermediate Digital PDF
Learn to make body lotion and understand how its ingredients shape the formula.
Make Your Own Body Lotion is an intermediate-level digital workbook from Island Goddess Body Essentials. Complete formula sheets, clear methods and ingredient explanations help you plan small practice batches, explore emulsion structure and document your development work.
Start with the Fuller Foundation formula, then make the Fluid Refined version as a separate batch. Both are fragrance-free, leave-on body lotion formulations designed for 200 g batches. The second reduces added cetearyl alcohol from 2% to 0.5%, while keeping the emulsifier, emollient and glycerin levels constant. This gives you a focused way to investigate texture and dispensing, without assuming either version’s performance has been established.

Essential equipment
-
Digital scale: Measures to 0.01 g, with at least 500 g capacity. Allow enough capacity for the vessel and its contents.

What you receive
A 16-page printable PDF workbook. This is a digital download. No physical workbook, finished cosmetic product, ingredients or equipment is included. Tools linked above are purchased separately.
Important formula information
Both formulas are labelled “Proposed and untested.” They are educational development formulations, with no reported batch trials, established performance, preservation challenge-test results or verified shelf life.
Appropriate safety assessment, preservation testing, stability evaluation and packaging compatibility work are needed before sale or broad distribution. Visible appearance and a home patch test do not establish microbial safety or commercial readiness.
