Sugar Body Scrub Formulation Workbook PDF | Intermediate | Beyond Sugar & Oil
Learn to make sugar body scrub and understand how oils, butters and emulsifiers shape the formula.
Sugar Body Scrub: Beyond Sugar & Oil is an intermediate digital workbook from Island Goddess Body Essentials. Ingredient explanations, exact weights and numbered methods help you plan, make and document small development batches.
Start with a Foundation formula that combines sugar, liquid emollient and structuring ingredients. Then explore a separate Refined formula that introduces shea butter and changes the emulsifier balance. Each formula makes a 200 g batch, with guidance for comparing texture, sugar distribution and dispersion during rinsing.

Who it’s for
For makers who already weigh accurately, handle a water bath safely and keep batch notes. You’ll build on those skills by working with a heated base, cooling-stage additions and a proposed preservation system, then recording how each development sample behaves.
Tools for your sugar body scrub practice batches
Check what you already own before purchasing equipment. Choose items that meet the workbook’s specifications; a product being sold on Amazon does not establish its suitability for cosmetic making.

What you receive
A 16-page printable PDF workbook. This is a digital download. No physical workbook, finished cosmetic product, ingredients or equipment is included. Tools linked above are purchased separately.
Important formula information
Both formulas are “Proposed and untested.” Their processing temperatures, mixing times and cooling windows are development starting points. Texture, rinse behaviour, preservation, safety and shelf life have not been established.
The workbook includes a proposed preservative system, but adding preservative does not demonstrate that the finished scrub is adequately preserved. Appropriate safety review, stability and microbial assessment are needed before skin trials, routine use or distribution.
